The Loogootee Lions, behind Cade Chezem, Sheldan Christmas and Bailey Dearwester, ended their regular season on a positive note as the senior trio combined for 28 points en route to a modest 62-51 victory over visiting North Knox. Jordan Wildman opened the game with a three, then Cade Chezem hit on two of his own to put LHS out in front 9-0 in the early going. The Warriors would eventually score to make it 9-2 before Bailey Dearwester connected on a two-point basket to put his team back up by nine at 11-2. A 7-0 run allowed NK cut the score to 11-9, but Silas Bauer ended the run with a bucket to put Loogootee ahead by four. Midway through the first, Sheldan Christmas would come off the bench to provide the Lions with a spark by nailing a three-pointer from the top of the key to extend the lead to 16-9, however the Warriors scored the last eight points of the quarter to take a 17-16 lead after one. LHS would settle in as they outscored North Knox 21-10 during the second stanza to ride a 37-27 lead into the locker room. A determined Warriors squad used a 7-1 run at the beginning of the third period to close to within four at 38-34, but Loogootee bounced back to take a 45-37 lead into the final frame. Any hopes of a NK comeback were thwarted when Cade Chezem completed a perfect 4 for 4 night from beyond the arc by hitting a trifecta to push the Lions ahead 48-37. LHS would go on to defeat North Knox (3-19, 1-7 in BCC) by a final of 62-51 to finish the regular season with an overall record of 9-14, and 4-4 in Blue Chip Conference play.
