The Loogootee Lions were hoping to pick up their second win over a Dubois county opponent in 24 hours when traveled to play Southridge (17-5) at the fabled, Huntingburg Memorial Gymnasium on Saturday night. LHS took a 9-8 advantage after one, but the Raiders lit up the nets for 23 second-quarter points to take a 31-20 lead into the half. Loogootee (8-13, 3-4 in BCC) would show resilience in the third by cutting the deficit to just five at 45-40 to end the period. A Silas Bauer bucket early in the fourth trimmed the lead to 45-42, but Southridge sophomore standout, Colson Montgomery connected on three straight 3-pointers to dash all hopes for the Lions as the Raiders would eventually go on to win by a final score of 60-47.
