The Loogootee Lady Lions won their first sectional since 2005 by beating Orleans in Sectional 63 by a score of 44-32. Coach Brian Smith knew the Lady Bulldogs would give them a fight and they did just that. Loogootee fought through foul trouble and missed shots, but managed to pull off the win to advance in the tournament. This win gave the Lady Lions a new school record with 23 wins in a season. Loogootee was lead by Kalea Fleming with 16 points. Brooklynn Jones had 14 points. Kylie VanHoy added 6 points, Makenzie VanHoy had 5, and Isabelle Waggner had 3 points. The Lady Lions face Ed Trinity Lutheran in the second game of the West Washington Regional on Saturday. Loogootee is 23-2 and currently ranked number 1 in Class 1A.
